The background of the upazila

There are legends that people came from the different groups to get the mussels here. Since the lime and button were made from the mussels, the lime traders kept a group of miscreants. They used to say that the place of receiving the mussel was called jhunukada. Some people say that Jhinukdah is a mouthpiece and a mouthpiece that turns out to be a mouthpiece. That is, the dah (big water) was mussel, from this cremation, the mussel was collected in the zheenidae regional language, and now it has become Jhenaidah today. Others say, the money is in the villages. Due to getting the oyster in this village, it was naturally named as Jhinudaha which later became Jhenaidah.
